Meals 4 Haiti

Hello everyone-

I know we have all been affected in some way by the earthquake tragedy in Haiti. Our hearts are saddened and yet the outpouring of help from all over the world, I'm sure, has brought hope and healing to the victims.

Did you hear the news last week? It sounds like they are in dire need of food. So, Arbonne teams are rallying together to send MEALS to Haiti.

Some of you may have done so much for the Haitians already, but if you are still wondering how you can help, perhaps you can participate in this campaign.

Arbonne teams are sending their highly nutritious Arbonne protein shakes that do not need refrigeration. Several Arbonne VP's are also physicians and nurses and they are in the trenches helping these people. So the shakes would be a godsend for the victims and the workers.

If you feel led to participate, just call Vida Ice with your credit card or send her a check for $25. Her phone numbers are: home office: 503.554.5920 cell phone: 503.750.9062. Her website is: www.vidaice.com. Vida will not be profiting from this- as this is her cost. And any residual income she receives from the volume from this will be an additional donation from her.

While she prefers credit card, you can also make her a check out to Vida Ice and send to PO Box 393 Dundee, OR 97115.

This is tax deductible and Vida will send receipts from the non-profit that they are partnering with. And for every 12pk purchased for $25, You will receive an Arbonne gift from Vida.

If anything, if you feel led, please forward this on to your friends and family. We are hoping to send 1200 meals- that's 100 people participating by this Thursday, January 28th!

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your support and the overwhelmning response already! We are all in this together!

Make today a great one!

Wall Portrait Sale

Say it isn't so!!

For the past 5 years, we have been so good about sending Christmas cards and a family newsletter. They were a ton of fun to make and folks seemed to really like them. And I love to read them years later.

Well....

It is already January 20th and I am thinking that sending out cards this year is just not going to happen. I am totally bummed. But let me tell you why. Maybe a good chuckle is what will make this all better...

So I had squeezed in a day a week before Christmas. It was the perfect day. I was going to create the portraits of the kids to put onto the cards. Nomi was in a very good mood that day and I had forewarned Adria and Jarom of the plan. But then, something very bad happened. Nomi got a hold of a washable black crayola marker... you know, the kind that washes off the skin after 3 days or so.

My cute little baby drew all over her face, but mostly her lips and right eye. She looked like a little goth baby. It was actually quite funny. When she looked in the mirror though, she cried and tried to clean it off. She is just too funny.

I was kinda bummed. So I squeezed in another day after Christmas. It is family tradition to send the cards after Christmas anyways...

Then is happened again!!!! Where in the world does she find all these markers!!! I took it as a sign. No more markers are allowed in the house. And no Christmas card this year. It just wasn't meant to be and I am now OK with that. My only regret is: I couldn't find our point and shoot to take a pic of Nomi in her "goth mode". Arrggg!

Newberg Family Photographer - Meyers & Murphys

OK, just one more before I hit the sack. I promise, I am trying to play catch-up on my blog post but I fear that I am still very dreadfully behind... :)

This is the Meyers and Murphy family and they are so cool. The dad in the Meyers family and the mom in the Murphy family are brother and sister (hence the brother and sister portrait). These were taken as a present for their parents wedding anniversary. How cute is that!!!!!

Thanks so much Susan and Cathy for your help in making this session go so smoothly and, well, for being so cool!

Newberg Senior Photographer - Ali

Did I mention that I love my job. I am totally in my happy place when I have a camera in my hands and a beautiful girl as my subject. I just love these images. They are a perfect blend of sweet innocence with a slight urban edge to them. Love them!

Newberg Senior Photographer - Carly

Man do I love my job. I get to meet cool people all the time. Let me introduce you to one of those super cool people, Carly. What a joy she was to photograph. Not only is she beautiful on the outside but she is totally beautiful and so sweet on the inside.

Enjoy!
